This was beautifully explained. Tried my hand on hand applique once and was very quickly very frustrated. But I believe enough time has pasted to give it another go. I mean, I'm really goid at handstitching down my binding. So straight applique already works 😅

My mom passed in 2006. I inherited her quilting cotton, and I made a hand stitched king sized 1.25” hexi quilt top in the grandmother’s flower garden pattern. It took me 10 years to do, working on and off, but the top is done. I need to get I quilted yet, but it helped me deal with the grief of her loss.

Thanks for all your great videos, they are both informative and entertaining. I 'feel your pain' regarding those noisy neighbours and their selfish disregard for other people. I suspect that in the morning they will be sleeping off their night time revelling - so, after your coffee, what a good time for you to start up a generator/play outside music/do drum practice/borrow a barking dog - you get the idea!! I can only hope that the camp security moved those people on. Meanwhile, happy crafting.... x PS Would love to see you doing some mosaic.

Oh, how fun to see what's behind Door #1, Door #2 and Door #3! You got a lot done! Honestly, I am trying to get rid of half of our things, but it is SO hard to do! We need to move - downsize - but what a job! The thing is, I hate to get rid of supplies! I am still here and cannot just sit. Sprinkle some cayenne. Works amazingly well! We’ve 5 acres plus all the neighbors but those cute little rodents prefer our flowerpots UNTIL cayenne. I dearly love your weird little UFOs!

GET A BUNCH OF PLASTIC FORKS, STICK THEM IN THE PLANTS WITH THE TINES UP. IT WORKED FOR ME. SQUIRRELS WERE GETTING ON MY DECK AND DIGGING UP MY PLANTS. ONCE I USED THE FORKS IT WORKED!

You do so many fascinating and interesting crafts, Jeri!! Nice to have those sheds for storage--{my Dh would love to get my and my crafts out into a shed hahaha] I have one small-ish room with a good closet which is filled with mostly fabrics... being a quilter, 1st and foremost, for a lot of years I have collected a whole bunch!! And now I have also moved into paper stuff--glue booking, journal making, then fabric journals etc etc --whoa...my crafts have taken over a whole room...it is a lot of fun though..thanks for sharing your "stuff"!! Nice to know how to make fabric twine. I have made twisted cords for years, double plus the desired length, twist, twist, twist, fold in half and watch the magic, knot the end. Sari silk works well.
